Halloween is a really big event in many places around the world. Although you won’t find people going house to house for candy in Japan, Halloween is considered a great excuse for everyone to cosplay (play dress-up), go out drinking and party.
If you find yourself in Japan for this scary weekend, here’s a few places where you can enjoy the Halloween spirit:
Shibuya is one of the best places to spend Halloween in Japan, with everyone dressing up, having a few drinks and partying in the streets, clubs and bars of the district. There are many different events happening all night long, and everywhere you turn in Shibuya, people are celebrating Halloween. This year, Halloween is on a Tuesday, so the events will probably take place throughout the previous weekend.
