Springtime in Japan is nothing less than magical.
From February into early May, you can basically travel from South to North to enjoy the country’s iconic sakura (cherry blossoms) everywhere.
It is not just about the beautiful pink flowers, it is also about the time you will spend under the beautiful trees with your Family, you friends, your lovers, drink some Sake, eat some Sushi, life can’t be better, can it(lol)?
If you live in or around Kanto area, my friends, don’t wait until April for the joyful time, take your car or take advantage of Japanese Railways, let’s go to Kawazu in Feb to enjoy some quality time with your loved ones.
The cherry blossoms in Kawazu, called Kawazuzakura, blooms in the beginning of February, and last until the middle of March(the usual sakura wilts within 2 weeks).

Where is Kawazu:
Kawazu is located in Izu Peninsula, the closest station is: Kawazu Station
If you are driving, you can put the Geocode (34.746965, 138.992591) in your Apple Maps or Google Maps, then the navigation will lead you to the walking path along the river where most people go to see the cherry blossoms.

If you feel tired after long walking, I recommend you to go to “Sakura Footbath” (さくらの足湯処) to get a free foot bath, while you can still enjoy all the beautiful flowers in front of you.
