What is the connection between the Legendary Pokemons and Necrozma?
As it can be seen from the website, we can see that the Legendary Pokemons of Sun and Moon, Lunala and Solgaleo, have new outer shells. There are rumors about the new outlook of them. As their new outfit looks like the another mysterious pokemon, Necrozma, there is opinion guessing that the pokemons appeared on the package are the fused form of Necrozma and the two legendary pokemons. If you have played Sun and Moon, you know that there is not much explanation about Necrozma was made in Sun and Moon, so there is a huge chance that Necrozma will play an important role in the latest series!

Is there any connection between the previous series, Sun and Moon?

If you have played the previous series, Sun and Moon, you would probably notice that the way the protagonists’ dresses are different from the previous series. There have been many opinions about the connection between Ultra Sun Moon and the previous series, Sun and Moon. Some predict that Ultra Sun Moon is just a remake of Sun Moon, with the only small minor change in the storyline. However, regarding the fact that the official page has stated,

‘Enjoy the ANOTHER ‘Sun Moon’ story!’

It is hard to believe that only small changes have been made. Some have predicted the existence of the parallel world and saying that Ultra Sun Moon is the parallel world of the previous series. This prediction is rather convincing, as, in the previous series, they did mention the existence of parallel world; If you have played Sun and Moon, you would know that there is a character that has transported from another storyline! Therefore, there is a huge chance that the world of Ultra Sun Moon and that of Sun Moon have a strong relationship.

For those who have no idea about what Pokemon is, here are the facts about Pokemon!

Pokemon, which is short for ‘pocket monster,’ has become a phenomenal success all over the world among not only children but also adults. Pokemon was created by Nintendo in Japan in 1996. It is a role-playing game involving Nintendo Game Boy, and TV cartoons. The Pokemon are the monster that have the special power, and the idea of the game is to collect as many Pokemon as possible, train them and fight against other player’s Pokemon. The players train their Pokemon by invoking abilities of the Pokemon and evolve them into new forms. What exactly is a Pokemon?

As mentioned before, Pokemons are imaginary creatures that have special power. At the beginning of the game you will be able to choose one Pokemon and begin your journey. You use your Pokemon to battle other players or wild Pokemons, and you can catch the wild pokemons and make them into your team. As you train your pokemons and when they reach a certain level, they will evolve into a new form and grow stronger. As you progress, you will face legendary Pokemons that play an important role in the story. When your team becomes stronger, you are ready to challenge the championship at the end of the game!

So How many series are there in Pokemon?
As you may notice, there are many storylines of pokemon. There is a numerous number of series, and they can be categorized into seven generations according to the year they were released:

The 1st Generation (1996): Red, Blue, Green Pikachu
The 2nd Generation (1999): Gold, Silver, Cristal
The 3rd Generation (2002): Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green
The 4th Generation (2006): Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, Soul Silver
The 5th Generation (2010): Black, White, Black2, White2
The 6th Generation (2013): X,Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire
The 7th Generation (2016): Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon

Each series takes place in different region of the imaginary world, and the Pokemon appear in each region are different. Therefore, if you want to gather all the pokemon, you have to play multiple series in order to complete catching all the pokemon.

In the long history of Pokemon, sometimes they make a series that is a reboot of a previous series. For example, Fire Red and Leaf Green which was released during the 3rd Generation, were reboot of Red, Blue, Green; they both share the same storyline and characters while the reboot version contains additional features compared to the original version. For example, new Pokemon that did not appear in the original version showed up in the new version. As the new Ultra Sun and Moon is going to be released, it is interesting to see if it is the remake of the previous series or have its independent storyline.

As mentioned before, the storyline of each series are sometimes linked together; it is a little bit complicated as while some series are linked, some series have their own timeline, which means they are independent. If you have not played Pokemon before, I believe you have no idea about what I am talking about. However, once you have played the game, I believe you would be attracted by the storyline that is really well written. You will see the connection between series and series which is fascinating!
