Summer has come and brought with it many special features that are only available for a limited time. One of these features is the water park — a place to escape from the heat of summer.  According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the temperature has already spiked to over 40 degree in Tokyo and the surrounding area, reaching temperatures higher than ever recorded (CNN, 2018). Therefore, it’s time to make a plan with friends and family to go to a water park, cool down, and enjoy the season.

In Tokyo Summerland, the outdoor pool is only available during the summer (July–September). In this period of time, there are also many special events taking place. For example, the night pool event will be held from July 14th to September 9th this year. In this event, customers can enjoy many illuminations with the combination of light and water illustrating The Blue Grotto (Capri, Italy), Niagara Falls (Canada), and The Moonlight Rainbow Fountain (Korea).

Go Get in the Water

Tokyo Summerland is known for its unique illuminations combining light and water. Toshimaen amusement park has various types of pools, and the highlight of Yomiuriland this summer is an event with Pisque and Rabbit, the mascot of Yomiuriland, plus a summer haunted house.

All three of these Tyokyo water parks are outstanding. However, there are some rules that customers should pay attention to when visiting these water parks. People with tattoos (including both temporary and non-temporary tattoos) are not allowed to enter the pools. Also, people cannot bring bottles, cans, or dangerous objects into these places. People who do so will be asked to leave the park immediately.

Make your plans and enjoy the summer at a water park!
