An unveiling ceremony of bronze statues for Attack on Titan’s main characters took place on Sunday 8th November in Oita Prefecture. The statues portraying young Eren, Mikasa, and Armin were revealed at the Oyama dam in Hita city, hometown of manga artist and creator Hajime Isayama.

The life-size statues show the characters looking up at the 94-meter high dam, which is likened to the wall in the film. It was erected by a group of volunteers called the “Shingeki in HITA Town Revitalization Council” with funds raised through a crowd-funding campaign.

Mr Isayama attended the ceremony to which around 200 people were invited. The ceremony was also available to stream live online on the group’s YouTube channel.
