The Essential List of Pet-Friendly Cafes in Tokyo

We have compiled a list of pet-friendly cafes in Tokyo for all pet owners stuck in this dilemma!

TOKAKU Coffee +

This hip coffee shop near Kiyosumi Garden in Koto specializes in Japanese-style drip coffee, with a range of 6 different types of beans you can choose from.

Their signature dessert is the Brazilian pudding, which is actually a Japanese-style pudding on top of a chocolate sponge cake, steamed together in the same mould.

Dogs are welcome inside – no Brazilian pudding for them, unfortunately!

Bondi Coffee Sandwiches

Tomigaya, where this café is located, is an area that has become increasingly popular in recent years as part of “ura Shibuya,” meaning “hidden Shibuya.” The exotic exterior of the cafe is reminiscent of the cafes along Bondi Beach in Australia, especially with the warmth of natural wood and the use of blue and green.

Since dogs are allowed on the terrace, many customers stop by on their way home from a walk around the area.

Anea Cafe

Anea Cafe is probably one of the most popular pet-friendly cafes and is highly recommended by dog owners. Open until late, Anea Cafe has five different locations in some of the lesser-known areas of the city: Sangubashi, Shirokanedai, Nakano Shinbashi, Matsumizaki, and Hatchobori.
