There are about twenty-four Mocha cat cafes all around Japan, and the Omiya Mocha Cat cafe is one of them. Omiya Mocha cat cafe is two minutes away from the Omiya station. Since it is right next to the station, you can easily find this place. The shop is usually open from 10.00 a.m. to 20.00 p.m., and you don’t need to make a reservation before visiting the cafe. You can have a relaxing and enjoyable time with cats while enjoying the beautiful aesthetic interior design. Also, if you want to treat cats with their favorite snacks, you can do that too.

About 20 cats freely roam around the cafe, and visitors can have a wonderful and relaxing time with them. They feed the cats twice per day, once in the morning at 10.30 a.m. and once in the evening at 19.30 p.m. The cats line up neatly to have their meal, and it is the best time to visit if you want to take excellent pictures or a video where all the cats are together.

‘Risu No Iye’ (House of Chipmunks), Omiya

In Japanese “りすの家 (Risu No Iye)” means ‘House of chipmunks.’ This place is also in Omiya, at “Citizen’s Forest Minuma Green Center.” You can access this place by taking a bus from the east exit of JR Omiya station to the “Shinsaibashi” bus stop, and after getting off from the bus stop, it’s a 5-minute walk to arrive at the place.

“Risu No Iye’ is open all year round except on Mondays and holidays. The best time to visit this place is from April to September because Chipmunks hibernate from mid-October to April. In that case, they are most active and playful during spring and summer. It is hard to see chipmunks around in Japan. So, this place is a great place to see many chipmunks at once.

Kawagoe Cat Cafe (Nekoya), Kawagoe

Kawagoe cat cafe is located a 10-minute walk from Kawagoe station. This cafe is on the smaller side, but they have lots of cats. Kawagoe is a famous tourist spot to see historical Japan. When you visit Kawagoe, do not forget to visit this place as well.

 This cat cafe doesn’t provide any food or beverages like in other cat cafes. They have a vending machine inside the cafe if you want a drink. There are some rules in ‘Nekoya’; for example, you can’t hold or hug the cats, no loud noises or running, and you can’t feed the cats. So, make sure to follow those rules. If you want to take pictures, they allow you to do so, but you have to turn off the flash. Cats love to sleep all the time, and most of them will be sleeping. Only a few of them are playful. However, this cafe does have a manga library, so you can enjoy your time reading manga while enjoying the cats.

Bamboo Palm, Kawagoe

 Bamboo Palm is a small tropical zoo that you can rent for yourself. This place is located in Kawagoe, Saitama, close to Kawagoe aquatic park. It’s has a reservation-based entrance, and you can make a reservation through their website or contact them on Instagram. The entrance fee for one adult per hour is 1000 yen. Bamboo Palm provides other paid and free services such as a barbecue & pool, trampolining, oxygen capsule, and access to specific animals, among many more things.

Bamboo palm has many types of exotic animals from different countries globally.
