It gives a calming impression that is very comfortable for those who want to escape from the heat of summer in Japan.
The temperature at the summit is indeed lower than at the foot of the mountain, and the wind speed is also higher. However, the humidity level is much lower and provides the desired cooling effect.
Because of the cooler weather as you climb higher, heatstroke is not as much of an issue as usually is when sightseeing in lower altitude areas. But don’t forget to bring lots of water and, cover yourself from the sun!
Also don’t forget to have a jacket layer or two, because it may be very windy or cooler at the summit. And check the weather forecast too. Although during July – September Japan is mostly sunny, some days may bring heavy clouds of rain or thunderstorms.

2. Don’t Miss the Sunrise!
For hiking lovers, you must know that sunrise is a beautiful sight not to be missed. Thus, if you are a beginner, a very useful tip for you is to always try to catch the sunrise.
Accordingly, it may be a good idea for you to start hiking Mount Fuji before midnight, this is due to the fact that it may take up to 8 hours to hike in a relaxing mode.
So, suppose the sunrise will be up at 4 am, we suggested you to start hiking at around 6 or 7 at noon. Then you will be able to hike slowly and may spare some time to relax before the dawn comes.
At the summit, enjoy a beautiful view with the sun bashfully peeking behind the clouds. The sea of clouds will look like soft cotton candy.
3. Prepare Yourself
As the journey may take 8 hours or more, you should prepare yourself to be super fit and mentally ready to face the challenges.
